How do payments, credits and refunds work?

By making a payment, you agree to use a valid payment method. In case of dissatisfaction with the course, Werkey offers a refund or credit, within 30 days, for most courses purchased.
1. Prices
Course prices at Werkey are determined based on the Instructor Terms and our Promotions Policy.
We regularly run promotions and offers of our courses. Some courses are offered at a discount only for a certain period. The price applicable to a course will be the price at the time you complete your course purchase (at the end of the purchase). Any price offered for a particular course may also be different when the user is logged in to their account from the price available to users who are not registered or logged in because some promotions are only available to new users.
If the user is logged into your account, the currency listed is based on the user's location when the account was created. If you are not logged into your account, the price is in the currency of the country where the user is located. Users will not be able to view prices in other currencies.
In the case of students located in a country where sales and use taxes, taxes on goods and services or value added taxes are levied on consumer sales, Werkey or the Content Provider will be responsible for collecting and remitting the taxes to the relevant tax authorities. Depending on your location, the price displayed may include these taxes or they will be added at the end of the purchase.
2. Payments
The user agrees to pay the fees for the courses purchased and authorizes us to charge their debit or credit card or process other payment methods such as Boleto and to those fees. Werkey works with third party payment processing partners to offer the user the most convenient payment methods possible in the country in which they reside and to maintain the security of the user's payment information. By making a purchase, you agree not to use any invalid or unauthorized payment method. If the payment method fails, and you are still able to access the course you are enrolling in, you agree to pay the corresponding fees within thirty (30) days of receiving our notification. We reserve the right to disable access to any course for which payment has not been properly made.
3. Refunds and refund credits
If the course you have purchased is not what you expected, you may request, within 30 days of purchasing the course, a refund or credit to your account from Werkey, provided you have not taken more than 50% of the course content. We reserve the right to apply the refund as a credit or refund in the original form of payment, at our discretion, according to the ability of our payment processing partners, or based on other criteria. No refund will be due if you request it after the 30-day guarantee period. However, if a course purchased is deactivated due to legal or policy issues, you will be entitled to a refund even after the 30-day limit. Werkey also reserves the right to refund students after the 30-day limit in case of suspicion or confirmation of account fraud.
To request a refund, please contact our Support TeamTeam, via chat or e-mail, using the support button on our pages. As detailed in the Content Provider Terms they agree that students are entitled to receive these refunds.
If we decide to make refund credits available, these credits will automatically apply to the next purchase of any course on our site. Credits may expire if they are not used within the specified period and have no monetary value. At our discretion, we may also provide discount coupons in an amount corresponding to the refund the student is entitled to, to be used for future purchases on our site.
At our discretion, if we believe that you are abusing our refund policy If you have already taken more than 50% of an online course for which you are requesting a refund, or if you have previously received a refund for a course, we reserve the right to refuse that refund, ban your account and/or restrict any future use of the Services. If we ban your account or deactivate your access to a course due to a violation of these Terms or our Trust and Safety GuidelinesThe user will not be entitled to a refund.
4. Promotional and gift codes
Werkey or its partners may offer promotional or gift codes to students and may later be used for the purchase of eligible courses on our platform, subject to the code terms. Other codes may be redeemed directly for specific courses.
