How is the registration for courses done and what is the validity of access?
This article forms part of Werkey's Policies and Terms. For more details on these policies, click here.
When you enroll in a course, you will receive a license from Werkey to view it through Werkey Services, but not for other purposes. It is prohibited to transfer or resell courses by any means. You will receive a one-time access license as set forth in the course description for each course.
In accordance with the Content Provider Terms by publishing a course on Werkey, providers grant Werkey a license to offer the course to students. This means that Werkey has the right to sublicense the course to students who enroll in it. As a student, when you enrol in a course, regardless of whether it is free or paid, you receive from Werkey a licence to view the course through the Werkey platform and Services, with Werkey being the official licensor. The courses are licensed, not sold to the user. The licence does not give the user any right to resell the course by any means (including by sharing the account information with a buyer or by illegally downloading the course and sharing the course on websites).
In legal and broader terms, Werkey grants you (as a student) a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the courses and associated content for which the necessary fees have been paid, solely for personal, non-commercial and educational purposes, through the Services, in accordance with these Terms and any conditions or restrictions associated with a particular course or feature of our Services. All other forms of use are expressly prohibited. You may not reproduce, redistribute, transmit, assign, sell, transmit by radio or television, rent, share, loan, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works from, sublicense, or otherwise transfer or use any course except by explicit permission in a written agreement signed by an authorized representative of Werkey. This condition also applies to any content that can be accessed through any of our APIs.
In general, we grant students a time-limited access license when they enroll in a course. However, we reserve the right to revoke any license to access and use courses at any time if we decide or are required to disable access to a course for legal or political reasons, for example if the course you have enrolled in is the subject of a copyright complaint or if course content is found to violate our copyright. Trust and Safety Guidelines. Course access time may be different than the time applicable to complementary resources and services associated with a course. For example, course translation subtitles may be disabled by content providers at any time, and content providers may decide at any time to stop providing educational assistance or question and answer services associated with the course. Please note, therefore, that course access time may be different than access to course content, which can be shorter.
Instructors may not grant course licenses directly to the student. Any direct license will be null and void and will constitute a violation of these Terms.
